Sannah Kvist is an artist, freelance photographer and photo editor based in Gothenburg and Stockholm, Sweden. She has great series of pictures shot on familiar landscapes or with friends. I noticed the series “all I own” in which the participants, who are students born in the 80′s, compose a sort of natural set with all they own. This reminds me of “Material world, a global family portrait” a book by Peter Menzel (1994) who captured the material life of average families around the globe, offering extraordinary images of families in front of their dwellings with all of their possessions. Sannah Kvist is refreshing this idea with an intimate look on students in her country.

Bryony Lloyd is a young amazing artist from London. She does great digital collages with a vintage look and sells prints at a reasonnable price at culturelabel.com. Bryony Lloyd graduated from Brighton University in 2008 with a degree in illustration and since then she has worked for a large range of clients and is featured in Selfridges, Creative Review, One Little Indian, BE media, A4 magazine, Wired Magazine and The Ride Journal among others.

Takahiro Kimura is a collage artists from Tokyo, Japan. He studied painting and graphic design, drawing, landscape painting and fashion drawing. Since 1991, he has been developping his unique style of collages illustrating the nature of the human spirit through peculiar physical distortions.
His work is made by cutting up photographs, elaborating collages and then applying colors, thereby creating a whole new visage with a strong impact. Takahiro Kimura published his first art book “e-motion” in 2010, with 10 collage animation series. He also made a short-film titled “meat”, that was featured in several animation festivals worldwide.

Jordan Metcalf is a graphic designer and illustrator from Cape Town, South Africa. He is part of the collective “Only Today” and have great skills with typography. A couple of years ago I started a project of illustration agencies directory. That was a tool I needed and it was fun to build it and share it on partfaliaz.com. Today I launch a new version of this international illustration agencies and representatives directory, with a new simple design allowing you to browse lots of illustration agencies and hundreds of illustrators listed by image.
Well it’s been a huge work and my challenge is to keep it updated… But now if you don’t mind, I will have a short break and play this game. Have a good week-end.
